“There has always been a sense of urgency in my work, will I have enough
time to create the perfect picture, will what I leave behind be valued. It
almost doesn’t matter, it’s the only thing I can do, the only thing that
satisfies, it’s almost a spiritual calling.”
Sara’s work primarily concerns itself with the surface of living things, be
that skin, fur or feathers, her animal paintings are sparse, yet at the same
time so alive, capturing the spirit of the beast. These vivid, vibrant
creatures demand to be noticed. Her human figures hold you captive as they
gaze out at you, daring you to question her talent for composition fused
with deft technical skill.
Sara is a self taught artists working in her studio in Hove. Her work has
been purchased by private collectors in the UK and abroad.
