We’re still enjoying the last few rays of summer down on Madeira Drive, so if you’re enjoying a stroll and taking the air do call into the studio and see me.
I have been having lots of fun continuing to paint on stainless steel and am currently working on a series of white cows to hang in the arch and hopefully will be showing this new type of work at the spring Affordable Art Fair in Battersea. But I’m getting ahead of myself!
Things are getting Christmas busy in the arch already and I have several commissions in hand so if you are planning on ordering a piece of work from me as a gift for the big day, please don’t leave it too late.
December also sees the Stars on Canvas event at the Willow Foundation All sorts of celebrities have painted a small canvas to be auctioned to raise funds for this wonderful charity and I too have been asked to donate a painting, my offering is a portrait of the Dali Lama, which you will find on my portrait page. On line bidding starts on 27th Nov and a celebrity champagne launch night and exhibition of all the works is being held at the prestigious SW1 Gallery in London; please see the web site for details and tickets.
As well as canvas and stainless I have also been painting the walls and floor of the arch, giving it a bit of a make over. Unfortunately, someone had smashed all of the windows in the old doors so whilst these were being repaired we just carried on and it looks lovely now, another reason for you to call in.
